Country has enjoyed warmest spring for 350 years
East Riding of Yorkshire has recorded one of the warmest Spring periods ever!
The country as a whole has enjoyed its warmest spring for 350 years. April was the sunniest since 1929.
Between March and the end of May, Britain was at its hottest and driest for that period since 1910, as far back as those records go. The average temperature was 10.32C (50.58F).
Since the beginning of March on average there has only been 2in or 65mm of rain.
